What is Freya’s all time favourite album and song?

My favourite album is ‘Cuz I love you’ by Lizzo and my current favourite song would be ‘You’re all I need’ by Aretha Franklin although my song choices do change!

What is Freya’s favourite breed of dog?

I’ve always loved bull terriers but it would also be the chinese crested but I haven’t met many of those.

What made you want to get into working with animals?

I have always loved animals. Started working with horses and then worked at a pet store for 2 years. Working there opened my eyes to a few things and I gained an interest for animal nutrition. I guess I wanted to be someone working in the animal industry that actually cares about animals.

What do you like to do for relaxtion when you’re not at work?

Play video games and I like to attend drag shows.

What would be your dream meal if someone else was cooking?

Would have to be pad thai or a vegan lasagne although I like my own lasagne!

Which animal do you think make the best pets and why?

I’d say dogs. Dogs seem the most made to be a pet. They’re built to be looked after by humans and we also have the most information on how to care about dogs.

If Freya could travel anywhere in the world to see animals that we don’t have in the UK where would they go and what would they want to see?

This one is easy. It would be to go to Borneo to see the orangutans. They are one of my favourite animals.

Do you have a favourite author or book, and do you prefer to read fiction or non fiction?

I don’t have a favourite author and haven’t read in a long time but I did enjoy reading animal and science encyclopedias!

How did Freya’s interest in animal welfare come about?

Working in a pet store and seeing the reality of how the pets are bred. I went on to do a course in animal welfare licencing so I know the law!
