April Clinic Update: Happy Easter! Easier Ways to Book Nurse Appointments & Price Updates
Happy Easter from the whole team!
Easter is just around the corner and with it the promise of warmer days to come!
We just want to flag the most common issues we see this time of year: Chocolate and Raisins. It is so easy for pets to sneak a treat from us, but these can be fatal. If you know your pet has eaten anything toxic then call us immediately and we will advise. For other toxic materials then see our Advice pages on common toxins for Cats and Dogs.
Book a consultation online with our nurses!
We love hearing how we can make the practice experience better and this extends to how to book in appointments! A number of clients have requested the ability to book nurse consultations online and so working with Vetstoria, we have made this happen. Follow your subscription level to book in quickly and easily as you would for a Veterinary Consultation.
Go to “Book Online” > Select the appointment type “Nurse Consultations” and follow the rest of the online instructions.
Price Rises
Increasing costs is a reality we all face. As a result we are having to increase our prices. The most relevant to note is the cost of a Standard Veterinary Consultation will be £47.70. There are other price changes and an updated list of our most common services. With the price increases, it may be worth considering the subscriptions we offer. Feel free to contact us on 0121 270 5800 to discuss your own needs in more detail, or review our Subscription page.
Dental Care Fixed Prices
This week the “Important to know” is about dental disease. We believe strongly in good preventative dental care and in keeping with this belief we have fixed the surgical prices of dental work to 2 possible costs:
£150 Dental examination, mapping, plaque removing descale and polish
£350 Extractions with Dental examination, mapping, plaque removing descale and polish (no limit on the number of teeth)
“A stitch in time saves 9!”
Bank Holiday Opening Hours
Easter is this month, and with it the bank holidays.
We are open as normal on Good Friday, 15th April but we are closed on the 18th April.
Emergency consultations and services will be provided by Willows and they can be contacted on 0121 712 7071, or call our number and a recorded message will remind you.
COVID-19 - Living with the Virus
A month in with reduced restrictions and we are still all adapting. On the whole all is going well so we shall continue with the current protocol.
We will continue not to insist our team members wear masks in consultations, however, should you be more comfortable with us wearing masks then please let us know and we will be sure to put one on.
We will continue to wash our hands as this is part or our normal disease protection for our patients, not just for COVID!
Should any of our team test positive for COVID we will still be expecting them to self isolate for 5 days and produce a negative test before returning to work.
Should you test positive for COVID, or demonstrate symptoms, please let us know and help keep all of us safe. If you pet needs to be seen we can adapt so as not to risk infecting any other people whilst also making sure your pet is cared for as best we can.
If you have any feedback on how you would feel more comfortable with COVID safety then please let us know and we will try to accommodate.
