December Clinic Update: Repeat Prescriptions Made Easy & Our New Vet!
Repeat Prescriptions Made Easy
Last month we started our WhatsApp service, which is being well received and we have realised it is a great way to ask for repeat medication if you need an extension. We are all set up to have payment sent through Apple Pay (or an equivalent) so a prescription can be dealt with without picking up the phone!
If you want to set this up please Whatsapp us on 07568 229686.
Meet Our New Vet: Katherine Hull!
As the year draws to a close, we have a really exciting announcement. Katherine Hull is joining the team from January.
Katherine has relocated from East Anglian to the area, with her husband and young family. Katherine grew up in Solihull and so knows the area well.
Katherine is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine. This means she has a formally recognised higher level of knowledge relating to medical conditions.
When asked why she has joined JH vets and what she is looking to bring to the team Kat said:
“I chose JH vets as it will be exciting to be a part of a new, developing, forward thinking independent practice and work as a part of their caring and committed team.
As an advanced practitioner in small animal medicine, I am looking forward to bringing to the team further knowledge in this area. I have a particular interest in cardiology. I can’t wait to build trusting relationship with our clients and to meeting all your wonderful pets.”
Katherine will be working on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a share of Saturdays.

Investing in new equipment
As any progressive organisation knows, constant investment is needed to ensure the best service is delivered.
We are delighted to announce that we are investing in a Phased-Array Cardiac Probe. In layman’s terms this means we will be able to offer a more advanced and detailed heart scans for all patients. We will be able to offer this as a new service early next year.
Understanding Obesity in Pets
Obesity is a growing problem in our pets. Several months ago we wrote an article focusing on obesity and its impact. Needless to say, we advise prevention is easier than cure! If however, you are worried about your pet’s weight then book in with our expert Registered Veterinary Nurse for support and guidance on managing weight in your furry friend.
