February 2024 Clinic Update
We excited for a couple of new faces joining the team!
Some of you may already have met him but on 8th January James Brown joined our team as a registered nurse (RVN)! Now we have another James in the mix RVN James will be known as ‘JB’ around the practice!
James said - “I’ve been nursing since 2003 and qualified in 2010. I’ve worked in general, referral and emergency practices. At home I have a Sheltie called Lilley and a tortoise called Shelley. I particulary like Collie breeds so look forward to seeing them in the practice.”
We are also excited to announce we will have a new vet Marketa Maxerova joining on a full time basis from Monday 12th February!
Marketa has been working for Medivet as a veterinary surgeon since 2020 and is excited to be joining James Horner Vets!

Celebrations in February!
Birthday girl!
Receptionist Catherine will be celebrating her birthday on 20th February… We wish her a very Happy Birthday!
Pitter patter of tiny feet….
Catherine is also starting her maternity leave as of 12th February with her little one due this month. Catherine has held off finding out if she is expecting a girl or a boy but we have been taking internal guesses!! We wish her & her husband Josh all the very best and cannot wait to meet their bundle of joy!

As a new feature to our monthly newsletter we will be ‘spending 5 minutes’ with a different member of the practice team each month.
Last month we started with James and next month we will continue with head nurse Sophie D so if you have a question you’d like to ask or just something about Sophie that you’d like to know (perhaps if she has any hobbies or what made her want to become a veterinary nurse) please send us an email to reception@hornervets.com by Thursday 22nd February.
