March 2023 Clinic Update

Every day is a school day within the veterinary world….

Head Nurse Sophie D has completed the ‘Nutritional Ambassador Programme’ via Hills UK & IRE!

If you have any concerns about your cat or dog’s nutrition you can book in for a consultation where Sophie can discuss how much & what to feed your pet, calculate feeding amounts and explain the benefits of the recommended diet.

Receptionist Louise also completed a 2 day basic sales training with Sandler Training.

Sarah faces her first nursing exam

Our Student nurse Sarah will be sitting her first nursing exam on 28th March. We are sure she will smash it but all of us at James Horner Vets wish her all the luck in the world!

‘Kat’s Cardiology’

Since starting with us in January, Kat has carried out 6 heart scans (4 on dogs & 2 on cats). Heart conditions affect around 10% of dogs and 15% of cats, so if you have any worries about your pet please book in a consultation with us.

You can read Kat’s great article on Cardiac Disease from last month’s email here.

Online Video Consultations

Whatsapp video consultations are picking up as an alternative to ‘face to face’ consultations. If you would like to arrange a Whatsapp video consultation with one of our vets you can contact us by:

Whatsapp Us 07568 229686

Calling us on 0121 270 5800

The cost of a Whatsapp consultation is £36.75.

Please note that not all consultations would be appropriate for a video call so if you have any queries about this service please speak to a member of the team.
