May 2024 Clinic Update
Expanding our Clinical and Front of House Teams!
Chloe our new RVN
On 1st May, Registered Veterinary Nurse Chloe Dresser joined our clinical team on a full time basis, meanwhile on 13th May Leigh Gray-Goodwin will be joining our front of house team as a full time receptionist and client account manager. We look forward to welcoming them to the practice!
Chloe graduated from Harper Adam’s in 2022 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, travelling around the UK building experience. When not out with friends or family she enjoys volunteering for the BSAVA, fostering for cat rescues or walking dog rescues (see pic). Chloe is excited about building her career with James Horner Vets!
May is ‘Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month’….
The purpose of VNAM is to celebrate all things veterinary nurse. They can often feel overlooked and under appreciated, despite being a crucial part of the vet-led team. This month celebrates the talent and diverse skills that our veterinary nurses possess. Throughout the month we will be sharing information on our nurse led clinics including video’s and case studies.
Happy Birthday to RVN JB
JB will be celebrating his birthday on 21st May. We won’t tell you how old he will be but we can say he is the 2nd eldest within the practice! Sorry JB!

Bank Holiday dates reminder
A reminder that Monday 6th May and Monday 27th May are both bank holidays which means the practice will be closed on these dates. We will re-open from 9am on the Tuesdays that follow.

Do you have a question you would like to ask our senior receptionist Louise?
As a new feature to our monthly newsletter we will be ‘spending 5 minutes’ with a different member of the practice team each month.
Last month we sat down with Hollie and next month we will continue with senior receptionist Louise so if you have a question you’d like to ask or just something about Louise that you’d like to know (perhaps if she has any hobbies or what made her want to join the veterinary industry) please send us an email to reception@hornervets.com or send a message via our Facebook page by Friday 17th May.
