5 minutes with Sarah
If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Would have to be Vin Diesel and The Rock. I love the Fast & Furious films and think they are both great! Would have said Prince William but I’ve already met him!
What is your favourite exotic animal?
I’m not really an exotic person but I was fascinated by tarantulas when at college as curious about how they would weigh/feel but it turns out I’m allergic to their hairs!
What holiday destination is your favourite?
I’d love to go to Australia where my cousin lives but I do also love New York. To be honest I love America in general. Have been to New York once before but didn’t get to see a lot of the places I would like to visit.
What’s your favourite sport? Do you support a football team?
I love watching show jumping as I love horses. Also enjoy watching wheelchair sports such as the tennis and football.
I support Aston Villa because of my late son Bradley. I met a lot of players with him and they supported Acorns when Bradley was there.
Have you got any pets of your own?
We have catfish. I would prefer to have a dog, but as I don’t, I make the most of the pets when they come in as in patients; often spending time in the cattery and kennels on the floor with them! Treating them all as if they were my own. I’m known as ‘Auntie Sarah’ to Poppy who belongs to one of our receptionists.
What made you get into nursing?
I always wanted to do it when I was at school but when I was at school it wasn’t really a thing (or as easy to get into). It’s a passion of mine to follow my dreams but it is a lot harder than I thought it would be.
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Working on Bradleys Promise which is a charity set up in memory of my son. Spending time and making memories with my son George. To find out more about Bradleys Promise please see our website.
