Nurse led Puppy and Kitten Clinics

What are Puppy and Kitten Clinics?
Taking on a new puppy or kitten is really exciting, but it can be a daunting task, so we are here to help! Our experienced nursing team have developed a support program that will help you grow in confidence whilst also making best friends with your new fur baby.
How do they help?
Taking on and retaining all the information you need to bring up a puppy or kitten can’t happen in a normal 15-minute consultation. Equally, the key information you need at 8 weeks is not the same as you will need at 8 months! Therefore, our support program takes you through each month until they are 12 months of age.
Our puppy/kitten support programs work to benefit you and your pet in two clear ways. Regular visits to our clinic help to familiarise your new fur baby to travel and the practice, thus minimise long term stress, whilst also giving you access to our expertise around all areas of care at different life stages.
The core benefits and information covered includes:
12 months of nurse support through monthly consultations
Socialisation support
Nutrition and food advice
Teething support
Toilet/litter training tips and support
Advice on Car travel
Crate/carrier training benefits discussion and support in training
Grooming advice including nails trims and ear cleaning
Separation anxiety prevention training
Feline specific behaviour/multi pet household
Tips for loose lead walking
Puppy training/class advice
Discussions on Pet-insurance
Neutering discussions (if applicable)
Puppy/kitten graduation
What happens after my fur baby is 12 months old?
At the end of their program your pet will have a puppy/kitten graduation! This is not only very cute (they get to wear a little graduation cap and have a photo!!!) but also informative. The aim is to summarise the past year and make a plan for the next 12 months that is bespoke to your pet. This may include continued monthly support or swapping to another type of clinic. This will really depend on the level of support you and your pet need.
