Do you provide written prescriptions?
Yes. We have a policy providing written prescriptions for periods for single courses of medication, so please bear this in mind if needing a long term supply. Repeat written prescriptions will need to coincide with regular assessments of your pet.
Repeat prescriptions
If your pet is on continuous, or long term medication we can agree a repeat prescription service to reduce your visits to us.
For prescription medication we have a policy that requires your pet to be examined every three months to qualify for medication to be dispensed.
For parasite treatment we must have seen your pet within the last six months and agreed a parasite prevention plan with you.
CAN I CHOOSE WHAT MEDICATION I WANT?
Medication is prescribed by the attending veterinary surgeon. In some instances there may be a choice of format, for example a tablet or liquid form, but the actual ingredient is to be decided by the vet. We will always discuss your opinions when making a treatment plan.
HOW MANY VISITS ARE REQUIRED?
For a single treatment, an examination and prescription can be provided on the same day.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Each treatment cost will vary depending on the medication prescribed.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MEDICATION IN STOCK?
If we do not have the medication on our shelf, we are usually able to obtain it within 24 hours. If medication is unable to be sourced, we will have access to alternatives.
